Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu (/aŋˈge/ /sirt/ [bastard] [web]) is a temperate Town located in the Vejkzmekáf Principality of the Koiapian City-state.

The name Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu is derived from the Gnollish language, as Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu was founded by Pyrodalia vyim Yuvnoeplə˞rd, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu has a yearly average temperature of 2°C (35°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cool 13°C (55°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -9°C (16°F). Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu receives an average of 241 cm/y (94 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1986 m (6515 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1394, by Pyrodalia vyim Yuvnoeplə˞rd. The establishment of Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Pyrodalia vyim Yuvnoeplə˞rd electing to pay people to resettle in Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu.

Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive carved bedrock streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu's cost-cutting-focused defences has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Right off the bat Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as wealthy. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Civic Infrastructure

Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu has an Theological Academy which trains clergy in various arcane and theological topics required for their occupations.

Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

A substantial minority of the locals are descended from foreigners alien to their local neighbors. They may have been religious exiles, economic migrants, indigenous locals surrounded by the existing polity, or a foreign settlement conquered within the relatively recent past. The locals may not be enthusiastic about being ruled by others not of their kind, and their neighbors may look askance at the way foreign customs or even laws may be maintained.

Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the I̽wi̽ Hyento̠ Moorland was struck by a drought when Tarn Drumond grew too small to continue feeding Backwater Molten, which reduced the available water supply nationwide, but was especially harsh in the area arround Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu. As the neighboring regions had no water so spare, Ankge-sirt Rudnoplu lost 205 people, and 222 livestock in the disaster.. The drought lasted for 6 weeks, which are remembered as the Heartbreak Thirst.
